The Question:
Can The Boards affect Style?
We took a look around the MEC and Countway to see how Studying
has changed Style within the Class of 2006.
The Cast of Characters:
1. Marty Schoen
Usual Look: Crimson Crisp – Classic, Preppy Sweaters atop Crisp Khakis and Jeans.
Boards Look: Vanilla Fleece “that I found at the second year show...;” Faded Black Old Navy Carpenter Cords; Tan Socks; No Shoes. Marty alleges to have emailed the class with the news of the lost fleece...when no one responded he decided that the 2YS Lost and Found is as good a place to shop as any, especially when dressing to…study.
2. Sarun Charumilind
Usual Look: Eclectic Elegance - Patterned Polos atop long-sleeved Tees; Vintage
Jeans and Sleek Flats. Sarun dons daring colors, cuts and patterns that are
unmistakably unique.
Boards Look: Faded “Pumpkin...it’s Harvest Pumpkin” top from BR with a (self-ironing?) egg-shell collar peeking out. On his feet? Post-Boards “getting-ready-for-the-wards” Clogs.
3. Ruma Rajbhandari
Usual Look: Nice N’ Neat - Elegant Ribbed and Plain Tops; Bootcut Jeans; Lovely
Belts.
Boards Look: Non-descript Charcoal Sweater from... “Old Navy, I think?”; Faded jeans “that I got a long time ago, I don’t know where they’re from,” and a Khaki belt... “from Botswana.”
4. Stephanie Krejcarek
Usual Look: Beautifully Bold - Signature Accessory Combos: Bright Periwinkle Purse paired with Shiny Red Shoes; Turquoise Chinese Sac paired with Shiny Red Shoes.
Boards Look: Lime Sweater “from the Clearance Rack at Marshall’s,” mismatched with trendy, Ash-colored Jasmine Sola slacks.
5. Paul Gigante
Usual Look: Perfect Precision. Paul always adorns his (ridiculously!) athletic physique with exquisite ensembles: Classic, body-hugging Knits by BR; Trendy Jeans by Gap, etc.
Boards Look:
Bright blue tee with yellow writing that he “took from his father,” and that announces the 1988 Minnesota Special Olympics that apparently took place at The College of St. Thomas on May 7, 1988. Where is Area 12? A reference to Neuroanatomy? Random.
