The Tosteson Health Policy Lecture Series
The Tosteson Health Policy Lecture Series is a student-organized lecture series designed to educate medical/dental students on current and pertinent health care policy issues, concerns, events, and concepts by bringing relevant experts to HMS for monthly lectures and discussions. The goal is to present students with insight into the broader professional health care arena to which we have committed ourselves and to help promote thought and discussion on important issues beyond the scientific facts and clinical concepts which consume the formal academic curriculum.
Abbott Laboratories and Biological Sciences in Public Health The Distinguished Lecture Series is a monthly outside speakers series funded by the Abbott Laboratories. Each department in the BPH program is provided an opportunity to select a notable speaker in their field of study to come speak at the school. The students in the BPH program are also privileged to invite a speaker of their decided interest to speak on a topic of their choosing with topics ranging from a specific research interest to science policy. Additionally, the students are provided an opportunity to informally meet with all the speakers over lunch to discuss science and research, graduate life, and what lies beyond graduate school.
