Dr. Steven Flier, Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at HMS and a primary care physician, describes his transition from a high volume traditional practice to a new model of patient-focused care. Miscast by others as "Concierge Care" or "Luxury Primary Care" this model forces an examination of meaning and value in the doctor patient relationship. Leading the discussion is Dr. Martin Solomon, Clinical Instructor in Medicine at HMS who has been featured in such programs as a PBS Frontline documentary on controlling the financial incentives in medicine.
